Thanks for visiting my website. It showcases some of the content types that are available to put on your own website. After you've been set up with a Username and Password, feel free to play around, creating content if you wish.
This website is powered by Drupal, a content management system (CMS) that makes use of modules to allow site administrators to organize and display content, customize appearance and manage routine tasks, such as registration for websites requiring user names and passwords. It requires a database to store content and settings. Currently available modules range from photo galleries to e-commerce systems.
While the beauty of a CMS like Drupal allows for self-sufficiency, please be advised that websites are no longer a one-time capital expense. Rather, an effective website is an ongoing expenditure that you have to budget for on a year-round basis. It will require ongoing maintenance to backup the code and the database and to keep the modules updated when enhancements or security fixes are released. You might want to consider a maintenance contract with your Drupal web developer to take care of these tasks for you.
